Our Communications team makes sure that when an emergency happens, messages flow quickly,
clearly, and without fail. They manage the radio network that connects all firefighters across Samoa
and monitor fire alarms so crews are alerted right away.
What We Do
Emergency Radio Networking & Maintenance
We keep our fire service radios and communication systems working at all times—even in bad
weather, during disasters, or deep inside buildings. Our team maintains and repairs radios, repeaters,
base stations, and other equipment. This radio network let firefighters talk to each other and to our
control centres.
Alarm Connection
When a fire starts, every second matters. Our Alarm Connection Team links alarm systems from
workplaces and businesses directly to our main panel at the control centre. This means firefighters
can be alerted immediately, sometimes even before someone makes a call. We test and maintain
these systems regularly so alarms work when they are needed most.
