Completion of SFESA’s First Accredited High Angle Rescue Program Strengthening Samoa’s National Emergency Response Capability

The Samoa Fire and Emergency Services Authority (SFESA) proudly announces the successful completion of its first accredited High Angle Rescue Training Program, a significant milestone in the Authority’s continuing efforts to enhance national emergency preparedness and response capability.

This achievement reflects SFESA’s strategic commitment to developing specialized, in-house expertise that supports the effective management of high-risk, technically demanding rescue operations throughout Samoa.

Commissioner Tanuvasa Oloapu Petone Mauga formally acknowledges the exceptional leadership demonstrated by the Operations Department—most notably the Training Unit under Commander Kereta Samia, with strong support from Commander of Operations Iakopo Lesui and SFESA’s dedicated Training Officers. Their coordinated efforts and professional excellence were central to the successful delivery of this rigorous and nationally accredited program.

SFESA extends its warm congratulations to all newly accredited graduates. These firefighters now possess advanced technical skills, enhanced confidence, and strengthened operational readiness to respond effectively where precision, capability, and timely intervention are critical.

SFESA remains committed to advancing training excellence, building internal capacity, and ensuring the safety and resilience of communities across Samoa.

Our graduates aren’t just trained—they’re trusted.
Ready to reach the unreachable. Ready to save lives—where it matters most.
